or spouse. We are put on this earth alone, and we will go out alone, not with anyone else
standing next to us or helping us. Family and relationships are for the living. When we die,
all we have is our own thoughts, memories, and self-respect. In the end, that’s what is
most meaningful. I believe your father understood that, and lived his life with that in mind.”
At the moment David was diagnosed with cancer, he realized he needed to “make things right”
in a lot of areas of his life, especially in his relationships with other people. But he had no idea
how much his daughter, Heather, would utilize his example…
Heather wants to get married. Bob does not. Inspired by how her dad changed peoples perceptions
about relationships and life, plus all of the things he did to prepare for his death, Heather agrees to
Bob’s idea to develop an innovative “relationship contract.” While they are working on it, they realize
how much their nontraditional approach will help both unmarried and married couples achieve happier,
healthier and more fun relationships. Rather than generalities, concepts or vague examples, their story
demonstrates specific suggestions and instructions how they improved their love life and sex.
Their sometimes amusing story climaxes when they have to decide whether or not to go through with
the relationship contract, or get married.
You will also find inspirational ideas how to prepare for death.
INTRODUCTION
I started out writing a romantic and amusing novel about relationships and true love. Then I added
some ideas how to prepare for death. My editor has even credited me with writing a self-help book.
Although I don’t specifically remember that transition taking place, I cannot deny it’s something that
might have happened. A ‘street’ version, or fun type of self-help maybe, but I would consider
‘inspirational’ to be a more appropriate description of Together Again.
Most importantly, it will help your love life.
Because of the age we live in, technology seems to be stealing priority status over more important things
like old-fashioned values, and occasionally even common sense. A trillion calculations per second have
no doubt improved our lifestyles and efficiency a great deal, but we have a lot to learn about how to
integrate this new knowledge with the very reason for our existence. Probably because of advertising,
our thought process has conditioned us to have more fun, rather than improve the genuine quality
of our lives. Medical advances have no doubt improved our longevity, but what good is a longer and
healthier life if we don’t use that time wisely? Getting back to the basics of life should not take a back
seat to technology. They both should have equal roles in determining how our society moves forward.
Technology plays only a few small parts in this story, but they are important and can be used as a
valuable tool to make us better by learning from past mistakes. Improving quality of life, love, and
relationships is the focus of my story. The quickest way to learn about something is to communicate
with someone who has ‘been there, and done that.’ This valuable concept makes so much sense
I cannot understand why we seldom take advantage of the obvious.
Unfortunately, we will all die someday. That does not have to mean we will be forgotten,
or that what we did on this earth won’t make a difference. Every single life that was ever lived
should be a part of society’s learning process to improve our future.
Building successful relationships and finding true love has been recognized as a priority in our culture
to the point where the subject has been forced upon us in the form of advertising, television shows,
books, movies and countless other media. I don’t have a doctorate social behavior, but I did graduate
from the Martian university of common sense. The main focus of my little story here is my own unique
way to improve your life by improving your relationships. I never did like the saying ‘think outside the
box.’ My mind wanders outside that mythical box all the time, and I’d be willing to bet yours does too.
When it does, don’t be afraid to share what you envision. Especially when you come across ways
to help your fellow man.
Rather than generalities, concepts, or vague examples, this novel will give you exact and quite specific
instructions how to improve your love life with relationship help and relationship advice. I’m not foolish
enough to believe that what I have written will work for everyone. I suggest variations and encourage
you to modify my concepts and suggestions wherever you feel it’s appropriate for your circumstance.
My personal opinion of life is that it’s not worth living without having some fun along the way.
Believe me, laughter and imagination can cure and inspire much more than we give those qualities
credit for. My intention with this relationship book is to make you laugh and cry, wonder and think.
My plan is to convince you to use a few of the suggestions and techniques you are about to read.
My goal is simply to make your love life a little better right now, today.
If I can accomplish that, this journey will be a success. Not only for me, but for you as well.
